1. Antelope Canyon, United States

Antelope Canyon is one of Arizona's most beautiful natural wonders. A must if you are planning a road trip in the American West as the place is so spectacular and ultra photogenic. It is a very narrow rocky crevice of unreal beauty formed by erosion and belonging to the Navajo Indians. Antelope Canyon is composed of 2 very distinct canyons: Upper and Lower, famous for their very intense orange walls and their natural sculptures making the place magical. 2. Great Barrier Reef, Australia

A forest that seems to come straight from another planet! It is the dream of every nature photographer. World famous for its red sand dunes, the Sossuslvlei desert located in the Namib-Naukluft park offers incredible landscapes in a unique setting worthy of a painting. It is as if the trees have been petrified on the white clay ground. This astonishing phenomenon is the result of the drought that has been going on for over 900 years, where water used to abound, preventing the black sunburnt trees from decomposing. An impressive setting where calm and serenity reign.

Originally erected to protect China from barbarian attacks, the Great Wall is today one of the most impressive architectural structures on our planet. 6. Temples of Angkor, Cambodia

The archaeological site of Angkor, located in the middle of the Tonle Sap forests, abounds in ruins and temples that bear witness to Khmer art at its peak. Intertwined by the roots of trees and vegetation, the temple of Ta Prohm is an obligatory passage for photography enthusiasts. Also not to be missed is the largest of the temples on the site, Angkor Wat, which demonstrates a true architectural feat, particularly thanks to its flower bud towers. If today the stones appear tarnished by time, in the past it was very colorful, as the ceilings of some rooms and frescoes still prove it. 7. Northern Lights, Iceland

Who has never dreamed of seeing this celestial spectacle in full size? To see this famous bright green curtain of light in the sky? Winter is the best time to admire the Northern Lights in Iceland, the nights being darker and longer. And to appreciate them even more, don't hesitate to go far away from the cities that cause light pollution. Many guided tours are available to find the best viewpoints, but you can also go on your own to get away from the tourist groups and enjoy the magic in peace and quiet.


8. Kelimutu Lakes, Indonesia

These three magnificent volcanic lakes are part of the wonders of the Island of Flores in Indonesia. Perched side by side at the top of Mount Kelimutu, each has a different color that changes periodically. This is partly due to the minerals they are made of, such as sulfur, copper or acid, so you can't swim in them! According to the legends, all 3 of them are home to souls. The first lake Tiwu Ata Mbupu, isolated from the two others, is mostly black and hosts the souls of the ancestors. Further east, Tiwu Nuwa Muri Koo Fai, of a constant turquoise color, is the lake of young souls. Beside it, separated by a natural barrier of rock, is the mysterious Tiwu Ata Polo Lake: often dark and pigmented with red or dark brown, it is said to be bewitched and shelters evil spirits.

9. Perito Moreno Glacier, Argentine Patagonia

Located in the Los Glaciares National Park in Argentine Patagonia, it is the main attraction of the region. This giant 30km long, 5km wide and 60m high does not go unnoticed, its surface is equivalent to that of a city like Buenos Aires! Incredible phenomenon, it advances about 2m per day, contrary to most other glaciers which tend to move backwards. About once every 4 to 5 years, a striking spectacle takes place: a huge block of ice collapses. The last break-up took place in March 2016, so you still have some time to prepare your luggage and take off for this exceptional place.
